Creating Lasting Change: Lessons from AgRevolution's Stacy Anthony

Stacy Anthony, CEO of AgRevolution, brings more than 30 years of equipment industry experience (spanning John Deere, Brandt Holdings, CLAAS, and now AGCO) to a candid conversation about what it actually takes to transform a dealership. From casting a new vision across multiple locations to bringing the dealership directly to the farmer's gate, Stacy unpacks the mindset, operational discipline, and technology stack behind one of ag's most unconventional dealer models.
Key Takeaways
- Change management starts with mindset. Remapping the way employees think about "average vs. excellent" takes consistent, side-by-side leadership, and usually about 12–18 months to take hold.
- Partnership alignment is a win-win or nothing. Dealer-manufacturer relationships break down when one side cherry-picks what's convenient. Full product line commitment and shared goals are non-negotiable.
- AgRevolution flipped the traditional model. Today, roughly 90% of their service work is done on the farm or in the field, compared to 90% in-store at most competitors.
- Consistency is harder on the move. A mobile-first model demands disciplined digital workflows. Without them, data and communication gaps compound quickly.
- Speed to solutions is a KPI. Compressing quote-to-close time and days-to-close on work orders are active measurements at AgRevolution — not just aspirations.
- AI is already in the building. From parts counters to service diagnostics to sales pilots, AgRevolution is treating AI as a weekly discipline, not a one-time implementation.
About Stacy Anthony
Stacy Anthony is the CEO of AgRevolution (AgRev), a wholly owned subsidiary of AGCO and one of the most forward-thinking farm equipment dealerships in the country. A 30-plus year veteran of the ag equipment industry, Anthony previously served as CEO of MirTech Harvest Center in Memphis, Tennessee, and as international sales manager for Brandt Holdings Company. Throughout his career, he has represented some of agriculture's most well-known brands, including John Deere, CLAAS, and AGCO, with roles spanning sales, management, and ownership.
Anthony launched AgRevolution in January 2021 with a mission to disrupt the traditional ag dealership model, delivering technicians, parts, services, and technology directly to the farm rather than waiting for customers to come to the dealership. Under his leadership, AgRev has grown to operate twelve stores supported by a mobile fleet of 50 forward-deployed service trucks, bringing full-service repair and parts capabilities directly to the field.
