How Efficient Quoting Can Amplify Your Sales Process | Fall 2026 Dealer Webinar

Live webinar recap · Featuring Bob Ohnemus ofAgRevolution
Every deal a dealership closes starts with a quote, yet quoting is often the most overlooked bottleneck in the sales process.
In this live webinar, Tractor Zoom's Director of Insights, Andy Campbell, sat down with Bob Ohnemus, Commercial Business Manager at AgRevolution, for a candid, dealer-to-dealer conversation about how tightening the quoting process can speed up sales, protect margin, and set a dealership up to scale.
Bob walked through AgRevolution's own evolution. When the dealership launched in 2021, quoting ran on email: Salespeople photographed trades in the field, sent them back to the office, and waited on a value, operating on a 24-hour turnaround goal that wasn't always met. Missed emails, redundant approval steps, and no cell service in the field all added friction and cost time. The turning point came from a simple realization echoed by AgRev CEO Stacy Anthony: The system has to work for you, not the other way around. That pushed AgRev toward Tractor Zoom Pro for used equipment appraisals and, more recently, the Anvil Pro's sales enablement solutions to move toward a single, streamlined quoting workflow.
Throughout the session, live polls surfaced where the audience stands today, from how they build quotes (paper and Excel all the way to OEM portals and mixed systems) to their biggest bottlenecks. Keeping OEM pricing and programs current was among the top issues on the list. Bob's real-world perspective made the case that speed and accuracy aren't opposing goals: Quoting faster wins deals before competitors get a foot in the door, while accuracy protects the margin that manual, error-prone processes quietly erode.
Key takeaways:
- Speed sells, and the longer a deal sits, the uglier it gets. Faster, cleaner quoting keeps deals moving and blocks competitors from getting a foothold.
- Consistency and accuracy protect margin. Calculation errors don't come out of a dealer's pocket. A reliable system removes that risk.
- Measure what matters. AgRev tracks close rate and "coverage" (how much of the market they quote) on a rep scorecard; these are metrics AGCO is now asking for, too.
- Involve your top reps in the rollout. AgRev met less change-management resistance than expected by putting high-volume salespeople on the design and testing team early.
- The goal is "one screen." Eliminating re-entered data across quoting, financing, and warranties is where the biggest efficiency gains still live.
- Don't wait for the market to turn. As Bob put it: bite the bullet, do it now, before a busier season leaves no time to improve.
Whether you're still quoting on spreadsheets or already deep into a CRM, this conversation offers a practical benchmark and a clear next step.
